Patch Panel Layout for Analog Sets

I am looking for documentation how how patch panels are laid out for analog sets. I know a 24 port panel has the first four wired, skip 4, wire the next 8, skip four, and then wire the last four. Can someone point me towards documentation that would explain how various sized patch panels are laid out? Thanks.

The 24-port patch panel used to connect to our analog media modules uses all 24 pairs and they are brought in order: Port 1 of the media module equates to port 1 on the patch panel and so on.

Standard Cat5 patch panels use 4-pairs per jack: 1-4, 5-8 and so on. Pair 25 is unused.

I am not aware of any documentation covering this but the attached could be helpful.
