CM 6.0 Templete on S8800

Hi all,

does anyone have exp in installing cm6.0 with S8800 duplex? I did install Aura platform on S8800.I downloaded CM6.0 template from PLD and burned iso file to DVD.From web-console I can see the file inside DVD under solution Template. But once i try to install,every file not working. Showing error--"Error parsing Template,see log file for detail".I also try by unzipping iso file and place all file to USB.also can see all files, but when install same error.when i check log file it's showing invalid template.I also try it from Patch Management (download/upload) but file still invalid.actually file like .tar/.gz/.bz/.rpm/.zip---etc are already in the lists to upload. But whatever I tried,totally can't install. Can anyone give me advices/suggestion?

Bty--I got One-X portal original CD from avaya.It's also the same. Can't install/invalid.
what I mean is no download error or burning error.Original CD also can't install except from System platform CD.

I would recommend you to follow the Installation Guide :- Installing the Avaya S8800 Server for Avaya Aura™ Communication Manager located at following link:-

and Installing and Configuring Avaya Aura™ Communication Manager located at following link:-
http://support.avaya.com/css/P8/documents/100089133

Before installing CM 6.0, installation of System Platform is a Must.
So, I hope you are installing System Platform properly.

Once this is done you can follow the above link to install the CM6.0.

If you still face the issue, I would recommend you to contact local AVAYA installation team.

Got a solution, it's because of firmware version and software version.All must be latest version. Now, I successfully installed CM6.0 on platform.I can do some configuration.But I still can't register my G430 gateway to CM.I have another system CM 5.2 with S8300.When I try to register there ,G430 is working.But when I try to S8800 with CM 6.0,not working. BTY I just register 1 by 1.If I want to register to S8800 ,already removed GW from S8300.

And also wanna know how to install other software like AES/Utility server and other template.After Installing CM 6.0,if I choose Solution Template again to install another template,It doesn't showing select or Install like before, just showing Upgrade or Delete Template.If anyone know clearly,pls reply . Thanks! all

Template Install

Hi All,
As I Posted previously,still have't get any answer yet. My Gateway G430 still cant register to CM6.0 with S8800.And how to install other Template on System platform? After CM template,it just showing Upgrade or delete only.Eventhough I can see new Template from DVD drive--can't install. No documents or description for multiple Template Installation. If anyone have better opnion, ---Pls !!!!

Please check all the configurations of the Communication Manager G430 and also check if the CM is allowed to accept registration requests from H.248 Gateways

The process is no different from before.. Its exactly similar to the the process you followed to install Cm 6.0

Please check if you are using the correct files..

If you have further problems with G430, I would suggest to raise a case with Avaya support team so that they can look into your configurations.

Have you tried adding interface on the CM?

Do the command "add ip-int pro"

enable and "ip license-ser" on the G430
put the PE interface IP on your MGC list and you will be good to go

Just one quick question, i also encounter the same issue you encountered but what specific version of the system platform are u using?

Currently im using, cm6.0.0.0.1800 iso and vsp-1.1.1.0.2 iso... tried running the CM6 CD after installing the system platform but still the same.

I m also facing the same issue while installing CM6.0 in duplex template.Installed CM6.0 Duplex template on both 8800server but Duplication link on eth3 is not coming up..In CM webpage set the duplication parameters also...Also G430 not getting registered as Procr Link is showing as "waiting for connection"...

eth0--Customer LAN
eth1--Service port
eth2--avprivate for sysplatform
eth3--used by SP for failover...

Any Suggestions........

Please explain how to install system platform for cm 6. which version of system platform i have to install. in support I can see only system platform version 1.1 and 1.1.1 for download. I cant find system platform 6 to download.

I did install cm 6.0 yesterday but I can't get the eth3 duplication link up . Any suggestion to see what I am doing wrong. I checked my configuraiton all looks ok except the dupmgr being down

Be careful not to confuse the duplication on the System paltform page and the duplication on the CM 'Duplication' page.
System Platform duplication is for High Availablility version. if you are replicating a tradition duplex server pair, you need to leave the duplication address blank under system platform, and set the duplication address under the CM Web adminstration page *(new field for this).
If you set both, you will get an error in CM that the address is in use already and the dupmgr will not come up.

You can only install one template at a time on System platform. So if you have already installed CM 6.0, you cannot instal any other template before deleting this one.
