Hi Folks,
We got environment as following:
CM 6.01
IP phone 9611G firmware ver: 6.2312 H323
Cisco ASA 5xxx.
I got most of 46xx setting file figured based on our VPN environment.
A question that I need help with.
SET NVVPNUSER $MACADDR - I used this statement to automatically enter the IP mac address as user name to use for VPN authentication. Doesn't matter I use $ or SET NVVPNUSER %MACADDR% that none of the statement will enter user name for me.
## NVVPNUSER specifies the user name to use for VPN authentication.
## Normally, this value is entered by the user and not set in this file.
## However, if the user names are set in a staging environment using IF statements
## based on the telephones' MAC addresses, or if the user name is a fixed string
## based on the serial number and/or the MAC address of the telephone,
## it may be preconfigured in a file to eliminate the need for the user to manually enter the value.
Much appreciated if anyone can shed some light on this subject.
Kevin
