After running a preupgrade (migration 60) patch on a cm5.2.1 and backing it up to my laptop, I restored it on a CM6.2 and everything was ok EXCEPT that the IP phones did not register back to the new server. I discovered that if I input the security code on the IP station form and restarted the set the phone would register.
I have done a number of these migrations and have not run into this situation. I did not use provision which I believe this would be common. I expected a complete migration of translations to the new cm load including the security code of the IP phone.
Anyone have any idea why this occurred or have heard of this happening before?
