Hello, to reload the firmware, you can simply downgrade to an older release and then upgrade the phone again.

Here is the link to the 16xx phones

Thanks for the suggestion but its of no use.. what we do normally is after we press the mute button the IP Phone goes into config mode and we dont hear any beeps for the keys pressed.. but as you said i tried typing craft.. i.e. 27238# but it didnt work out its giving beeps on every key pressed!.

We are getting Garbage data on Phone screens.. we dont know in what state the phone is .. we switch on the set with Power over Ethernet (POE)

we get Junk Data on screen as follows

        Rqt0A AAUAO00000000000000000000000000
        :0A 0AA wAq}000000000000000000000000000
        00000000000000000000000000000000000000

while the fone is booting up the screen is in some movment state with same junk/ Garbage Data.

        Any more solutions highly appreciated!

        Regards

          2 phone death ?!

provides sufficient current to the switch? what a switch is it? Cisco switches can operate on the power and the current software manegmant for individual ports sat down.

I have seen this when there are power adapters are used.
Those power adapters do not fit very well and if you move the phone then the power is gone for a moment and the phone reboots.

The phones do get an ip address but that is all.
You can see this on the garbled screen (hex counting up)

            The phones are probably broken.
Honey, i fried the IP Office!!!!
