Restore failed from CM5.2.1 to CM6.3

    I want to Migrate from 5.2.1 with S8730 to CM6.3 with HP DL360 G7
    After activated 02.1.016.4-19401.tar.gz
patch on CM 5.2.1 I tried to restore it to CM6.3 I found this error " Restore Failed.backup: 2: Restore image: Unable to determine hostname for image."

The same hostname has been configured on avaya CM5.2.1 and CM6.3 but with the different IP scheme

    Please advise.

Restore failed from CM5.2.1 to CM6.3

The restore fails when I try to use my scp server so you need to manually copy the upgrade files to /var/home/ftp/pub
    then select view backup/restore local directory ( /var/home/ftp/pub )
you can now select the file migration_*.tar.gz and restore onto the system
may sure you have loaded the pre-upgrade patch and run Linux Migration to CM6
the file you need to copy starts migration_*.tar.

    Hope this helps

Try to restore with option check " upload if server name mismatch"
and 1 thing i want to know that before upgrading it have you install pre upgrade patch.

Try to forcefully restore the backup you will get the option in the restore page.

Are you just trying to load xln files , if you are they are in etc/opt/defty

Grab the files via win scp from cm 5 , stop cm from shell in cm6 drop the files in the ect/opt/defty folder and restart cm
