SAL 2.2 on s8300

Hi all,

I am installing a new system running CM6.3 on a S8300 server. The embedded SAL server included with SP6.3 is still 2.1. Is it necessary or even possible to upgrade the embedded SAL to 2.2 and if so how? I read all the documentation I could find and all the 2.2 docs seemed to only be for standalone SAL. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
