Installing G430 modem without ART

I have a customer who has purchased a g430 and wants to install it without getting an Avaya support contract. When they try to install a USB modem it seems that it has to be registered with ART in order to enable the modem. Is there a way that they can install the modem without having to register it with ART?

I don't believe there is but I'm not positive, however just because the product is registered does not mean that they have to have an Avaya maintenance contract.
