phone book/ directory browsing issue

Hi There,

We have a IP Office up and running in a small office with 1404 telephones.

I have entered more than 200 entries in the directory using IP Office manager and now from the telephones we would like to be able to browse the entries easily. We are only able to "jump" to the first letter on each key making the search long and frustrating.

Is there any way I can search for entries on my phone book/directory starting with 'L' directly?

The operation you describe matches the system setting Dial by Name being off (which is not normal).

When on, the contacts will list fewer and fewer names you dial more and more characters.

Is the any way I can switch ON the feature Dial by name?

You can do that through IP Office Manager. The setting is on the System | System tab.

I found the option, however its grayed out and ticked.
