Hotdesking inquiry

hello, is it possible to configure a hotdesking on an ip office 1608-1616 phones, we are using ip 500 v2, r7 and we have ip office manager application v9. if it is not possible is there any other way we can use our application with same outcome for hotdesking. or any applications/upgrades we need in order to avail this kind of setup?

All you have to do is go to User|Telephony|Supervisor Settings in Manager and put in a Login Code. This will make them Hotdesk users.

For them to hotdesk, they will dial *35, then their extension number, then *, then the login code, and finally #

If you want to make it easy for them, and you don't mind all of the login codes being the same, you can create a new shortcode, such as *#2XX, Extn Login, 2N*1234. This would assume that the extensions are all in the 200 range, and the login code is 1234. Dialing *# and their 3 digit extension number (between 200 and 299) would log them in at the new desk.

In either case, dialing *36 logs them out and returns the phone to the previous extension number
