    hi,

    Actually i have the ip phone model 9641g i am trying to update the new firmware with https/http & Aavaya ip tel but no luck.

    The phone is taking the firmware 96x1upgrade & showing the file after this file phone will automatic go to LLDP.

    so if any body have the same problem or if any person have the solution to solve the problem.

    Please tell me.

    Hello Zulfiqar,

    Hope you are doing well!!!

    Please check if you are using the below procedure to upgrade the firmware :-

    1. Install the MV IPTEL application from the below mentioned url available in the support site:


    2. Post installation, unzip the 3.1 SP2 firmware file 96xx-IPT-H323-R3_1_02 _S-032111.zip from the support site into C:\Program Files\Avaya\MV_IPTel\data\HTTPSdata.
    3. Ensure that you have the copy of 46XX Settings file in the C:\Program Files\Avaya\MV_IPTel\data\HTTPSdata as well.
    4. Now Open the MV IPTEL application, click on SETUP & select the following options:

    Basic Server + File Server. Check HTTPS Server and IPTEL mode.

    5. Now goto MV IPTEL Main page & click on Start MV_IPTEL service control.
    6. Configure the IP address of your laptop into the https option of the IP Phone & restart the phone.
    7. The IP Phone will start taking the settings file from the https server (i.e. your LAPTOP IP Address) & start upgrading the phones.

    You can also check the MVIPTEL logs to see if the phones took the firmware.

    Also, can you capture sniffer traces and open a case with us, one of our engineers can assist you in finding the solution.

      Hi....
      I have 9641gs IP phone installation but phone not Show call server or file server I am updating IP phone 9641gs but this phone not working properly or not responding I have created file server for IP phone 9641gs update but phone not updated

      Please send the right solution
