Sorry for the dumb question, however thought I would just check...

Other than ProVision (which we don't have), is there an easy way to remove all AuthCodes from CM? We have over 13,000 and I need to delete them all.

Auth Codes cleanup

Hi,

Unfortunately, there isn't a command that clears all the auth codes at once. you will need to do it one by one if you're using the SAT interface directory. This is done using the "change authorization-code xxxx" command and then remove one by one.

However, there is a way to do it using ASA (Avaya Site Administrator) if you have one. here are the steps. Method 1 and 2 are somewhat similar.

Method 1:

- start ASA (I used version 6.0)
- On the left side tab bar, click on "Advanced"
- Then click on "Find and replace" option which will open a new dialog box
- in the dialog box, there is a drop down list, choose: "authorization-code"
- then in the readio-buttons below that drop down list, click on "Remove"
- click the next button
- now, in the list control, in the field column, click and drom the drop down list, choose "Auth code"
- in the value column, type "1*" (this means any authcode stating with 1 and the rest is wild card"
- then click the next button
- just click the next button (leaving the default value "Run now" checked

This will connect and clear all the auth codes that start with 1. repeat the same for the rest of the digits (i.e., 2*, 3,*, 4*, 5*, etc..)

Method 2:

- start ASA (I used version 6.0)

- in the dialog box, there is a drop down list, choose: "authorization-code"
- then in the readio-buttons below that drop down list, click on "Remove"
- click the next button
- now, in the list control, in the field column, click and drom the drop down list, choose "COR"
- in the value column, type a COR number that exists
- then click the next button
- just click the next button (leaving the default value "Run now" checked

This will connect and clear all the auth codes that are assigned to that COR. of course, you will need to repeat this for all the CORs.

Choose the method that best suites to the way the auth-codes are administered.

Wow! Actually that does help allot! Thanks! All our codes are on one COR, so I will use that.
