    2050IP Softphone - Sound device setting grayed out

    Hello,

    User 2050IP Softphone release 4.04.067, sound device settings on the desktop client are grayed out. USB headset is plugged into machine (Plantronics DA40). I can hear callers but they cannot hear me. Only thing that seems to resolve the issue is to recreate my local windows profile. Machine is Win7 Pro, 32b. I am a local admin. Have also tried uninstalling/reinstalling 2050 software and re-loading.

    Looks like the issue lies in the fact that some phones were being started in compatibility mode for xp sp2. Release notes here: https://downloads.avaya.com/css/P8/documents/100174199
