Srv CM 5.2.1 and PN happend to be without golden IPSI.

Hi there,

We have:

- Communication Manager 5.2.1 duplex servers S8700 with hardware duplication (fiber).

- Port Network 1 with 2 IPSI's, golden IPSI here.

- Port Network 2 with 2 IPSI's.

We have to transfer our system to another city without interruption of serice.

Now we have transfered Server-2 with Portnetwork-2.

(Server-2 was Standby. I clicked busyout in web and then shoutdown).

NOW Server-2, Port Network 2 are completely separated from Server-1 and Port Network-1.

Servers now cannot ping each other.

I see after loading in Linux on Server -2:

CommunicaMgr License Status NOT VALID. Server in dormant state. Check active.

In WEB: the same and .. Unable to retrieve Serial Number.

I login in Linux and then in 30 sec Server-2 reboots. Again and again.

I was going to make Server -2 to be ACTIVE.

Is the only way to insert golden IPSI in Port Network-2 ?

Another way we can create connection for

- diplication link between servers (192.11.13.13 and .14),

- IPSI's A net

- IPSI's B net to make sure.

Is it enough ?

Fiber link we cannot create.

Why did you move the server and the PN at the same time.? My advise move the server back leave the PN where it is , re establish everything on the connections .
you cannot geographically split the servers with fiber unless you create / engineer duplication link.. between the sites. you have not stated what your end points are. The catch is there is no way you can move this without an interruption of service at this moment in time..
