    Coverage Path Not Terminating

    Hi Everyone,

    I tried searching but couldn't find anything on this so I'm sorry if this has been answered before.

    I have a station (lets say ext1000) that covers to another station (defined by a coverage path). The 'destination' station, when called directly, rolls to its voicemail after 3 rings. However, when I call ext1000 the call just keeps ringing the destination station and never follow's the destination stations coverage path to voice mail.

    Is there an adjustment that can be made to allow calls to ext1000 cover to the destination stations mailbox if it's not answered?

    A covered call never goes to the coverage point of a station in a coverage path.
    With x1000, if there is no answer at the first point of coverage it would just continue to ring there unless you put something in the second point of coverage.
    You could add a VDN as the second point of coverage; the vector step for the VDN would be messaging split xx for the destination extension.
    Another option would be on the voicemail system; depending on what type it is, you could add x1000 as a secondary extension for the destination extension mailbox, or use auto-attendant routing on the vm system to send calls to 1000 to the destination mailbox number. Then on the coverage path for x1000, the first point is the destination extension, the second point would be voicemail.

      Thank You! We did add x1000 as a secondary extension as a band-aid fix until we could figure out why the coverage path wasn't working.
