    Vectoring: VDN Override Settings

    Hello,

We are currently planning on moving our IVR menu's from a cloud based platform down on to our CM.

With the set up we will have a sequence of VDN's that the call will flow through in order to reach an agent:

VDN/Vector 1: This is for the menu where an option is selected. The call is then passed to VDN/Vector 2.

VDN/Vector 2: This is where our time of day, day of week, holiday and emergency checks are done.

VDN/Vector 3: This is where the call is queued and music and hold messaging is played to the caller.

I currently have VDN override set to Y for VDN1 and VDN2 and set to N for VDN 3.

I had to set it up this way otherwise the VDN variables were being passed down the chain and incorrect announcements were being played.

This is however presenting an issue as the VDN name that gets displayed to the agent is for VDN1. Ideally it should be VDN2 or VDN3.

Can anyone advise if there is any way around this?

    Regards
    Matt

VDN Override in its basic form allows the name of a subsequently routed to VDN to be displayed to the answering agent instead of the name of the originally called VDN.

If the Allow VDN Override? is set to n and a second VDN and vector are used to process this
call, the 1st-found strategy specified in VDN will still be used.
