I am currently using hundreds of Avaya SIP J169 phones configured to operate with third-party cloud-based SIP and PBX systems. The phones are functioning well overall. However, I've encountered a specific issue with the call pickup function on our current PBX system, which requires pressing the sequence ** followed by the extension number of the ringing line.
When attempting to use this sequence on any Avaya phone, the '' characters are automatically replaced with a '+' sign, which prevents the feature from working correctly. I need to ensure that the '' sequence can be entered as required.
Has anyone faced a similar issue or does anyone have a solution or workaround for this problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
