Converting an existing IP500 V2 to Server Edition Expansion System (V2).

    Hi
we have a client with an existing Ip Office 500 V2 configured with users and extensions. it also has a PRI card for external calls to our local PSTN. we recently introduced IP Office server edition and we want to merge the two please advice how i can approach this without losing the previous configuration. Thanks

Start by changing all line group numbers in Lines and ARS to something other than the default 0, and make sure they don't conflict with anything already in the existing Server Edition. If you are using the default 50:Main ARS, copy and paste it, change any short codes that targeted 50 to the new ARS. Keep a copy of the config on your computer, and also export, as a Binary, all of the available categories. When you run the wizard to add the IP 500 to the Solution, you will be offered the option to keep the existing configuration, be sure to choose that one. IT will take some time for it to become fully functional, and you might have to make some tweaks to adjust, but it will be just fine.
