Use Avaya SIP Phone with a third party PABX (Alcatel)

Anyone has tested Avaya SIP phones (9601) to register and work on a third party PABX (Alcatel)?

Avaya has not tested this configuration and it is officially not supported. If you do happen to try it and run into any issues, Avaya will not provide any support.

Well I tried to get support from Avaya and they said as you mentioned.
Not tested and no support.

This is why I am asking if anyone has ever make it work and how because I am not able to register Avaya phone in Alcatel.
