    Forward off-net ANI problem

We have some trunks from the telco that don't have unscreened ANI enabled therefore any ANI we specify has to be within our assigned DID pool. The problem we're running into is if I setup a off-net call by way of a VDN or even x-ported station. The switch is replacing the ANI with the original caller as the ANI of the new outbound call. Of course telco promptly rejects the call due to it not being one of our DID's. We've gotten around it for the time being by having ARS send the calls out a small trunk of POTS, but that's certainly not ideal.

Is there any way to stop this "feature" and just have it use whatever's in pub-unknown?

    Hello,

you can try using special application "(SA8983) - Replace CPN when calls forwarded off-net? n
    "

once this is enabled, you should see a new entry in trunk page -2

CPN to Send for Redirected Calls: calling

    regards
    Sunil

      Hi Sunil,

I thought this would do the trick, but i'm still stuck.

I enabled the special application and changed the entry on the trunk to "calling". If i take a x ported station or a virtual with a remote coverage path it does exactly what I want! The problem is, when i am routing the call within a vector it's still replacing the CPN with the original caller. I'm at a complete loss as to why it would function properly from a station, but ignore the trunk settings when the call is initiated by way of a vector.

if this is a tandem call (i.e call coming in via a trunk and then passed to another trunk) ,you can try adding tandem numbering plan as well.

I am not too sure if this will work via vectoring/VDN, but you can give a try.
