9641G display won't adjust, stuck in down position

I have four of the Avaya 9641G phones we started using less than a year ago, as a pilot to determine if it would work for our call center once the 9655 devices currently in use reach end of life.

All four have the same issue. The adjustable tilt on the display is stuck in the down position. You can try to lift it, but it will not budge. One user already slightly broke the black frame around the display.

Is there a secret for getting this display to adjust?

The screen does adjust, but there's no easy way to pry it and it's very stiff. Try to pull apply equal pressure to both top corners. It's a poor design.
