Hi,
We recently had a strange problem with a couple of our Avaya 2030NL IP phones whereby the user was unable to dial more than four digits before receiving an engaged tone.
I have been through the phone manager software to look for any obscure settings that are peculiar to these two users/phones but cannot see anything that would cause this behaviour.
I have also unplugged the handset and reconnected them and the problem remains.
This happened for a brief period of time and then stopped happening as sudden as it started.
Is this a common problem with this type of phone or does anybody know what would be the likely cause? To my knowledge we have never had this problem before.
Any help is appreciated.

Just a quick update on the above problem. The handset can be locked to prevent external phone calls, the result being that you can only dial upto 4 digits and the user hears a continuous tone.
