I am filling in for a technician at this site. They have an Avaya phone system that is in place that I do not have much information on. I have access to IP Manager and that's about it. Is there anyway I can troubleshoot why external numbers to a certain number only forward to a different one even though call forwarding is disabled? Example: all external calls that go to 1234 go directly to 5678. All numbers that go to 5678 also go to 5678. I tried changing out the phone and even switching the extensions. I moved the extension to a different desk and it still went to 5678. It doesn't help I was just dropped in here without many resources.

I'm not sure if you're referring to the Manager software for an IP Office. If so, check the incoming call routes for that number that is going to 5678, make sure it's going to the right target. The IP Office will take any incoming numbers and send them wherever you have an incoming call route pointing so the extension does not have to match the dialed number.
