Embedded voicemail messages missing bits of audio

Hi all,

At my company here we have an IPO 500V2 on 9.0.2 and a customer system on 9.0.6. We have both experienced tiny bits of voice messages missing and we both use embedded voicemail IP Office mode (not intuity)

Example voicemail listen to the chocolate milk ordering part.

On the customer's system I have formatted and recreated the system SD card twice now and we have been upgrading firmware since service pack 4 (now on SP6)

This is clearly an Avaya bug being that the systems are totally different, one SD card is Micron and one is Kingston. Running different firmware, and the issue has presented itself on voicemail to email as well.

Everyone suggests formatting SD card or replacement but I doubt we have two bad SD cards in each of our systems. This sounds like a bad bug to me.

It is always a particular part of the messages; end, beginning or at random within. The types of phones and trunks involved would also be relevant.

If its cutting at the end of messages and you have analog trunks, it may be that you need to adjust a value called the V_Truncate time. That is used removed the disconnect tone heard at the end of calls before the system actually does the disconnect. Sometimes it removes too much.

Did you find a solution to this issue? I have had this happen on one of my sites as well but thought it may have been due to there SIP lines. What type of lines are running on the systems you have had the issues with?

When I've seen this in the past on an embedded system the issue was that the memory card was "full" (it can only store so many voicemail files regardless of the size of the SD card) look in System Status and check out the alarms, is it complaining that the voicemail storage is full?

The files record can to be deleting from manager IP Office. It's true?

Voicemail Quality issues with embedded Voicemail IP 500v2 9.0

Hi,

Has anyone found a solution to this issue as we have multiple clients on SIP trunking with call fading/clipping in random parts of the message.

Seems to be on different models of phones 1400 series, 5400 series and 1600 Series.

Can't see why the phones would be the issue it seems to be when the call terminates in the voicemail.

To me it sounds like when there is a change in the volume/tone of voice to quiet it is like silence suppression cuts in.

This issues has been going on for a number of years and upgrades with no one seeming to understand it.

I have had this happen on several different systems. It's very intermittent. Most of the time it just goes away for long periods of time. I have a customer that takes orders through their voicemail and this was a major pain. It's unfortunate to not have any explanation or at least a finger pointed somewhere.

I also have a customer having this issue and they also take orders so has anyone come up with a solution yet?
My customer is on Analogue lines so it's not a SIP issue.
