    Avaya One-x 9620

Hi and thank you for having these forums available for assistance!!

We use the Avaya One-X 9620 software phones for our company phones and some of the employees have been complaining about the volume of the ringer. Some employees have said that it is loud enough on their work-at-home computers that it feels like it is damaging.

We have been looking into a way to decrease the volume on the software phones' ringer slightly while not decreasing the volume of the customer speaking to our employees. Does anyone know of way to accomplish this?

Why don't you try to press the "-" volume button until the third or second bar.

The 9620 is a hardphone. Your initial question seems to talk about a softphone and PC. Please clarify what you are asking about.

I'm sorry. I checked with the department. It's a soft phone.
Softphone we are using is OneX Communicator, version 6.2

I'm not sure which volume you are referring to. I know that when you reduce the volume it reduces the caller's voice and the ringer, not just the ringer.

Should this thread be reposted? I know everyone has busy lives. So, I'm just being patient.

I, honestly, thought this was something set by the admin, but I was hoping for a little insight so I could pass it along. Thank you to the ppl who have responded so far.
