Using VPN Phone with Voice Vlan

I am using a VPN phone setup and it seems to work fine when the switchport the phone is connected to, is configured as an access port with a single vlan. But when I try to put the phone on an access port configured with an Data vlan and a voice vlan, the phone tries to establish the VPN tunnel using the access vlan IP address.

We are using DHCP option 242 in the Data vlan to enable the L2QVLAN as the voice vlan. But it seems like the phone is completely ignoring the fact it needs to pull a new IP from the voice pool after it receives the options from the data vlan.

Is there something in the vpnsettings.txt that I am missing here? We are using a 9650.

Look at VPNALLOWTAGS in the 46xxsettings.txt file.

Tried the VPNALLOWTAGS setting that as well and it did not work neither. This type of setup should work correct? We should be able to use a VPN tunnel for the voice traffic and the traffic coming through the switchport on the phone will be separated.
