Avaya Session Border Controller Alerting

Would anyone be able to advise me on how I could setup alerting for the Avaya session border controller?

The Avaya SBCE provides alerting through SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol).

At least as late as version 7.0, the SBCE cannot alert out using SAL (Secure Access Link). For this product, SAL is only useful for remote access by Avaya or Business Partners.
