When incoming numbers come in it do not go through the actual located gateway. It route to the main pbx system. When I tac trace it shows nothing but when I do a tac trace on the pbx system it comes up. How do you fix?

- I understand that you have a satellite office with a local survivable processor (LSP) in your local gateway (G450).
- You have analog POTS lines and/or other trunk lines from your LEC connecting to the satellite gateway.
- You have already configured your local gateway to handle 911 calls.
- You leased a number of direct inward dial (DID) numbers from a LEC.
- When your firm signed a contract with the LEC, you or someone there directed them to route those DID numbers to a specific trunk group (TG) that physically terminates at the DEMARK and PBX.
- On your side of the DEMARK, you or someone there physically connected your PBX to the LEC's trunk line(s).
- You have some kind of tie trunk connecting the satellite back to your PBX.
Is this clear? Are any of these not true?
If all true, this is how calls are coming into the PBX rather than into your satellite gateway. Moreover this is acceptable in practice. The only issue I see is that you must account for 911 calls. That is when someone calls 911 from the satellite office, the emergency response agency must see the correct address of the satellite office.
Why do you need calls routed directly to the satellite office? If management is asking for this, I would try to push back citing the additional administrative work it takes you and the LEC as staff transfers to and from the main office to the satellite. I will say that the LEC may not like this if this kind of thing happens a lot very much.
Furthermore you may not be able to get the reassignments done in time for the actual move.
Based on the above I would recommend leaving things as they are. Personally I do not see anything wrong with the way this is now set up.Thank you,
