DS1 synchronization source

Hi,
I know there is two place to config clock synchronization source.
1st place is in CM with command "change synchronization media-gateway"
2nd is to set command in MG.

Does both command required, or only 1st one is required? What is difference?

Depends on CM version

It depends on the version of CM you're running. 5.2.1 and older, set it on the MG. On CM 6.x and newer, set it through ASA.

We are running 5.2 and I use the following commands in ASA

"list synchronization"
and
"change synchronization css"
