    CM 6.3 Hostname in snmpd.conf

    Communication Manager 6.3

Changed hostname in System Platform - Server Management / Network Settings

CM SNMP still reports old hostname to management software.

When you log in to CM it shows the correct hostname in the upper right corner.

The snmpd.conf file needs root access to view/change.

Does anyone know a way to force that configuration file to get the correct hostname?

Looks like only System Platform 6.3.5 , 6.3.6 and maybe 6.3.7 had this proboem. I just tried a system on 6.3.8 and it reported the changed CM hostname via SNMP
    .
    thanks

No, you will need root access to read any files in /etc/snmp directory.

may be, you can try changing the host name once again and see if it updates the values.
