How to temporarly forward hunt group to a specific extension?

    Hello,
I hope someone already went through this and can help me out as I coudn't find this info in the docs or in other forums

I have a basic hunt group setup for a main line and with a coverage answer group that includes 8 users that will answer the calls. Coverage path Point#1 is the answer group, and Point#2 is VM.
The manager of that team would like to be able to have the main line temporarly forwarded to another user/ext when the 8 users in his team are in meetings and not able to answer calls.
Do you know if this is possible? I tried to have each user setup their phone to forward to a specific ext before they go to the meetings, but the system just goes to the coverage point #2 ( in my case VM) and does not forward to the extension.

    Using Aura 6.3

    Thank you,
    Patrice

    Hello,

is this a Skill based hunt group ? if not you can simply activate call-fwd from other extension

    here is the steps

example station 1000 , hunt group extension 1500

enable console permission on COS associated with station 1000
    from 1000 dial call-fwd fac <hunt ext> <forward destination>
    Regards,
    Sunil

And make sure you select Y: Terminate to coverage points with Bridged appearances

        Sunil,

I did enable console permission on the station ( lets call it 1000) where I want the hunt group to be forwarded.
        But I'm confused on what you mean by:" from 1000 dial call-fwd fac <hunt ext> <forward destination> "
I need to call forward from the hunt group to 1000. can you explain and maybe describe step by step what I need to program on 1000?

I also have Y: Terminate to coverage points with Bridged appearances implemented in my cover path for that hunt group

        Thank you

          Hunt GroupForward

Why not just put out of service button on one user with a fallback to different huntgroup for second 8 users. They could turn on when needed. Sorry first i seen of this. Hope this might help.

What Sunil mentioned works for me. And what you mention would work too but at this point I don't need to fwd to another hunt group, just a single extension.
One thing though: do you know how I can program a button to be a one step process instead of the user having to dial the <*fac> + <HG ext> + <destination ext> ?

            Thank you
            Patrice

On a station with console permissions on, you can have a "call-fwd" button and in the "Ext:" field you can put the hunt group extension. This way the only thing the user has to enter is the extension where the calls will be forwarded to...
