    What happened?

Were you able to get your issue resolved? I have 3 new MC32 cards going into a CS1000M and they are not registering with the PBX or the UCM server. When I plug the maintenance cable into the front of the card I get nothing through hyperterminal or putty.

        Hi,
        From the error description:

It fails at the boot P

Enter +++ to escape to Shell for manual configuration
........................................bootpMsgSe nd Failed, Error = 3d0004Faile

it looks like the MC32 card is stuck during the BOOTP phase. BOOTP is something like DHCP. When MC32 (BOOTP client) starting up, it boardcast first discovery message to BOOTP server (which is the Node Leader-Normally a Signaling Server) via ELAN .When SS receive this broadcast BOOTP request, it will compare the MC32 ELAN MAC address is matching with which MC32 card in EM node config,if there is a match, assign the related info such as ELAN IP,ELAN Mask, ELAN gateway, TLAN IP address ,TLAN Mask, TLAN gateway and CS ELAN IP and so on.

So to isolate the problem, I suggest
        1. First check MC32 and Signaling Server ELAN port is connected to the same data switch within the same VLAN so that broadcast message can be received by SS.(acutally MC32 or SS ELAN port can be in different switch via VLAN trunking, but keep in mind, they should be in the same broadcast domain-VLAN)

2.Ensure the SS-Node Leader -BOOTP Server is up and running

3.Check in EM for Node-MC32 card config, the ELAN MAC address should match

Finally, please capture the ELAN sniffer trace on this MC32 card if problem still persists after you tried my suggestions.
