HI,
We have SIP phones (9641G) registering to a Session Manager and a CM (on an HP server) configured as a feature server for the phones. We also have a G430 gateway registered to the CM for PSTN access. When we attempt a 3-party ad-hoc conference call, the SIP phone attempting to "join" the 3 parties displays the message "conference creation failed". When we sniff the traffic, we see that the 3 SIP phones have establshed a media session to the G430 gateway before we even press the "join" feature on the SIP phone. We are wondering if the DSPs on the G430 gateway can "mix" the traffic for the conference call or if we are trying something that will never work. Can anyone confirm if what we are trying should work and if not how can we support ad-hoc conferencing in our scenario? Thanks.
