    9611

    Hi All,

    The problem.
The phone is booting and then show on Installing Backup Application.
    And counting.
How to get the phone out of this state?
The phone does not receive an IP address and does not have any network activity.
So you can not access the normal factory reset menu!

    The same happens with 9608.

    Thank you!

Try accessing the craft menu by entering 27238#.

      Thank you!

      Not available the craft menu.

      The phone not booting normally.

No DHCP, no IP address, no LAN activity.

Network connectivity shouldn't be needed to access the craft menu. Try interrupting the boot process by hitting star * when prompted. You should see a prompt that says: * to program

From there, enter 27238#. Try clearing the phone values from there to default the endpoint.

          OK.

          The process:

          1. connect the phone to POE
          2. phone power on
          3. Show on screen the Avaya One-X logo and progress bar goes left to right
          4. When that process finished immediately show Installing Backup Application

Not show the normal star option.

The real question, how to stop this process.

          Thanks any idea.

          Tony

According to this, the phone firmware needs upgrading. The latest H.323 firmware is v6.6.4: https://support.avaya.com/downloads/...=H.323%206.6.x

              Ok, good idea.

But how to doing that? Because the phone newer stop the cycle activity what I've written.

              Thanks

Did you try hitting * during startup to interupt the boot process and reprogram the phone?
