After I enter the Extension number and Extension pin, I get a Blank Avaya screen !!

And at the top it will say "Retrieval successful"

What release is the IP Office, what release is the firmware on the 9608s

Try pressing *36 twice, this will force the user to log off and back on. Better yet you might want to press *35*ext*password# of that particular user.

I have seen this issue emerge with VPN phones not refreshing its display

          Hi there,

Thanks for your input, I tried both *36 twice and *35*ext*password#, but nothing happens.

The advice with remote H323 and VPN phones is always to setup the phone locally to the IP Office first (let the phone get the firmware from the IP Office, register and confirm operation, etc) and then and only then take the phone to the remote site.

                Mark,

                Thank you for your reply.

The phone works right away when plugged in locally, firmware is updated and also registered to my IPO.

When connecting from a remote site through VPN, it displayed no errors, it goes through the whole boot process, I even login it with extension # and password.

A blank page appears with 3 lines instead of 8, a half moon to decrease the brightness and a message on top that says "Retrieval Successful"

It makes no sense. I have a 9620L IP phone that works anywhere in the world and 8 9608 IP phones working from different provinces of Canada.

                  UPDATE

The 9608G phone works at my house, and it works on a different provider at my office.

It still does not work on the same provider at my office that we use the IPO on.
