phone failure cause pc failure

In the following scenario, will a phone failure cause an issue with a pc connection to the network? if yes, is it specific to just particular model phones or does this apply to all IP phones?
Scenario: one network connection to the desktop. phone connects to the network. PC connects to the phone

I think it will depend on what hardware/software has failed. PC will lose connection even If a phone reboots or loses connection to its network connectivity

Yes, if the network drops it to the phone it will drop to the PC so any loss of network or reboot of the phone will mean anything dependant on a network connection will stop working on the PC. This will be for any phone.
