I am just configuring a MM R5.2 MAS/MSS on DL-380 servers. I can select INADS instead of SAL for alarming for the MAS, but I cannot find where I have this option for the MSS, it appears that SAL is my only option. I would hate to have the customer have to supply a Server for the SAL Gateway just for the one appliance. The switch is a S8300D/G450 R5.2 with INADS for alarming. So my question is can the MSS for R5.2 support INADS (modem) for alarming or is SAL my only option. Thanks.

For mas and mss installed on system platform we only have SAL access. For setups that have mas and mss installed on saperate servers modems can be used after installing sp7.
Also SP7 was pulled out of support site due to issues with multisite. SP8 is coming out next month, so once that is out you should be able to use modem for connectivity and alarmings after installing sp8.
