    Postmaster

What is the difference between PostmasterMail and PostmasterAddress?

I am seeing interchangably a 1767 & 1769 events on a 2-MAS system and this in the logs:

2325952641 T3F0 <UmVictoryVMDSummaryManager> UpdatePostmasterAddress: Unable to retrieve PostmasterMail
    2325952641 T3F0 <UmEventLog> ReportEvent: WARNING ID=2147485417 (800006e9) Strings=Authentication is inappropriate.\n
    2325952641 T3F0 <CUmBaseVMDSummaryManagerImpl> OnMessage: catch unknown (HandleInterfaceException)
    2325952641 T3F0 <CUmBaseVMDSummaryManagerImpl> OnMessage - exit
    2325954750 T718 <CUmConfigurationManager> HandleGetServerNames - enter

Both MAS register a single event daily and usually at the same time.

1767 - Unable to retrieve PostmasterMail
1769 - Unable to retrieve postmaster address
What is the difference between these two items?

I can't find any information on the Avaya Search Engine in the support.avaya.com website.

Mail is the LDAP attribute which contains complete e-mail address for the user. System tries to fetch the mail attribute & when it fails it gives another event stating it was not able to get the e-mail address of the postmaster mailbox from MSS.

To get a complete understanding around why there is a failure, I would recommend opening a ticket with the MM Support Team & have the log analysis done to avoid such events.

Unfortunately this is on an MM 2.0 that is no longer a supported release by Avaya. Is there any items that I can search for in the logs that would tell me a possible cause that can be repaired?
