    IP Office 7.0.12 Soft Console

Im installing an IP500V2 7.0.12 all is ok, but SoftConsole. I have the RECEOCIONIST license, extension 100 is marked as RECEPCIONIST. When I try to connect the SoftConsole I can not see the Control Unit IP, even searching it. If I put the control unit IP then I can see the USER LIST. When I select extension 100 an put the password of the extension I got the message "No authorized user". In system status I see the RECEPTIONIS license as 1, but not assigned. My firrewall grant perrmisions to SoftConsole and to the UDP ports 50799 and 50796. In order to test I deactivate the firewall at all, but with the same result. In other hand, the SoftPhone is working ok. Any one could give me some tips? Thanks in advance

IP Office Applications Firewall Batch File

Try running the Firewall Batch file and also deleting the Softconsole profile on the PC.

I allready run the batch file, I see the ports 50799 y 50796 with full permissions in my firewall, even I disabled the firewall. I try with two different PCs with WinXP 32bits.
two softconsole installations from scratch. In a new installation, when I try to run the applications using extension 100, I see the file 100 creation in My documents/Avaya/IP400/Softconsole and in there I find the profile. But all ways the same error "No authorized user". Do you have other idea?

Make sure that the IP Office and the pc that has softconsole running on it are on the same subnet and use the debug option to allow you to do some additional tracing:

Make sure that you run the AvayaFW.bat file that Kirk mentioned after you install the softconsole and make sure you have the latest one and verify that it did add the entries in the Windows Firewall. The bat file assumes that you installed the program into %ProgramFiles% if you have installed the program anywhere else it will not see that it is installed and will not open up the firewall.

Look for other firewalls or anti virus or anti spyware that may be blocking softconsole from seeing the IP Office properly. If you install system Manager on the same PC can you recieve the config file?

The receptionist and soft console are two different items and need two different types of licenses

              IP Office 7.0.12 Soft Console

SoftConsole is the old name, Recptionist is the new name. Prior to SoftConsole it was 2 applications eConsole and eblf.

              Receptionist:IPO LIC RECEPTIONIST RFA - 171987.
This license is used to enable support for the SoftConsole application. This license can only be used by users set to Receptionist in the configuration. A maximum of 4 receptionist are supported. This license was previously called SoftConsole.
For IP Office 6.0 and 6.1, an instance of this license is consumed by each user configured as a Receptionist. If the user hot desks to another system in an SCN, their license entitlement is retained, ie. the remote system does not require a Receptionist license.
For IP Office 7.0, instances of this license are only consumed when the user is using the SoftConsole application. If the user hot desks to another system in an SCN, that system requires an available license in its configuration.

Have you ensured that the "Receptionist" box is ticked in the User|Profile field of extension 100? With this version of firmware that is required before the user is able to utilise an instance of the license.
