    BCM450 critical ID11502

    Hello,

Have a customer with a BCM450 r6 with the latest patches on it that locked up over the weekend and emailed the customer this error message.

    ID: 11502
    Severity: critical
Description: Platform Status Monitor - System out of Memory.
Resolution: Reboot BCM at earliest opportunity and ensure that the latest BCM System SU has been applied.

The customer rebooted the system later that day. The system has a mix of digital and IP sets... about 150 in total. The system is equipped with a CEC.

The Avaya docs (admin guiide) says to apply latest patches and contact support. I have pulled the logs and will start looking into them. I am not sure where to even start with the logs, so any pointers would be great?

Has anyone seen this issue before?

    thanks,
    Jake w/CTL

    Hello Jake,
The log reading is kind of complex the first thing to do here will be to check the alarms to see when this alarm showed up and rule out that this was an isolate issue due to lack of memory resources in a certain time of the day.
Then it's necessary to know if the system has the latest patches installed (A screenshot or just copying the list of patches form SW updates)
    Then check the alarms

After that depending on what you post may be recommended that you open a SR for the Log analysis but first let's rule out all the other stuff.

    Regards

    Pedro
