    IP Office Linux Application Server

    Hi,

I have been downloading the updates for the Avaya IP Office Q1 2012 release and noticed that there is no new version of the Linux Application Server. The current one listed is version 8.0.8.62 from early March.

Is the new build / release missing from the download page? I see that there are new versions of Voicemail Pro and One-X so I assume there should be a new build of the Application Server DVD as well.

Probably has something to do with the new server we are offering. The HP® ProLiant DL 120 G7 server with our Application server software preloaded.

I saw that mentioned in the docs indeed.
Do you know what price it will be?

              Pete,

I see that there is a new image of the Avaya Application Server (apps-8.0.20-14.iso) on the support website but am having issues with it. I downloaded it twice and come up with an error everytime I try to burn it. Even if I extract the files manually, and load them to the App Server, I come up with errors. I am thinking the ISO file is corrupt.

Do you or anyone else know if it is good?

I have not heard of any problems with it. I will download it later if I have a chance and let you know.

Call Record VM Pro with DL120G7?

I am upgrading an IP Office Essential 8.0 to VM Pro for call recording purposes. Does the New DL120G7 have the capability to store the voice recording or do I need an additional storage device? (Server).

Call Record VM Pro with DL120G7?

You can do call recording with the Application server but it does not support ContactStore and if you are doing call recording you really should also include ContactStore as well. You can get the ContactStore license as part of the Advanced Edition or a seperate license. ContactStore is only supported with a Windows based Voicemail Pro, not on a Linux based Voicemail Pro so it is probably not a good idea to go with the HP DL120G7 running the Linux Application Server software. You can install both Voicemail Pro and ContactStore on the same Windows computer running Windows XP Pro, Vista, 2003 Server or 2008 Server.
