Sentinel Key Server issue with IPO Admin Suite

I have an infuriating problem with the IPO Admin Suite. 8.1 just installed on a Vista Windows machine. As soon as I install it starts running 2 processes associated with SENTINEL KEY SERVER which eat 100% of my CPU. They are:
    sntkeyssrvr.exe and spnsrvnt.exe

I can stop the processes but any time I boot up Manager they start running again. Ending the processes does not seem to affect Manager at all but it is quite tiresome. I cannot find the files even after setting a search to show hidden files and look in system directories.

    I have 2 questions:
    1. Why does Avaya have these processes embedded in IPO Admin Suite
    2. How the heck can I get rid of them?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The Sentinel key server is related to the feature key server software used with USB and parallel port license key dongles and older IP Office systems, ie. pre-IP500 and IP500 V2. So its probably getting installed in case you support older system.

Apart from doing a full remove/reinstall of the admin suite, you could also check that the PC firewall has an exception for UDP 50800 which is used by the Sentinel software.

It is supported by Avaya on Vista but only on Vista Enterprise and Vista Business.
