IP Office Phone Manager End of Sale

I was using IP Office Phone manager screen popup feature to popup External Application (custom) on incoming calls but i found that its end of sale by march 2012.

How can I implement screen popup for external applications now?

If you want to screen pop Outlook use the one-X Portal. If you want to pop anything else you would need to add a third party DevConnect solution like Telcomp's PickUpIP or RSI's Visual Rapport. There are several lists of DevConnect certified solutions for the IP Office that add screen popping.

I am wondering that the replacement of Phone Manager (which used to popup external application on incoming calls) -One-X Portal- doesn't support same feature and i have now to use third party product.

Please note that the functionality you are talking about was only supported in Phone Manager Pro R4.2 and below. In R5 we Dropped support of everything except Outlook in Phone Manger Pro. The functionality was not removed but only screen popping Outlook was officially supported in Phone Manager Pro on R5.0 and above.

The reasons were the tested versions of the other products were very old:

The content management packages that have been tested are:

        ACT! 6.0

        Goldmine 6.0 and 6.7

        Maximizer 7.5 Enterprise

Microsoft Outlook (2000, 2003 and XP).

Our support for ACT! is so old (ACT! 6 dates 2000) that we decided to now only support Outlook for screen-pop.
Besides Sage have removed TAPI support with ACT! 7.0 (a.k.a. ACT 2005) which means that ACT has effectively removed the Inbound Screen Pop capability of ACT in their current version. It is now being supported by an Add-On tool: http://www.actaddons.com/products/2005/act_tapi_net.asp
The tool name is ACT! Tapi.net available from a 3rd-party vendor (CRMADDONS (www.crmaddons.com). There is a free 30 day trial of this tool.

So although we didn't remove the functionality it wasn't tested beyond 4.2 and when the one-X Portal replaced Phone Manager, since we were only supporting Outlook that was the only functionality that was moved over.
