Confused about IP Office Version Information

Hi,

I just started a new helpdesk job at a company that uses Avaya's IP Office suite in order to manage our network of phones.

The reason I created this thread is because I am unsure as to which reference manual(s) I should be referring to.

When I go to the 'about' section of the application, it reports that I am running "version 8.1 (5)."

However, the top bar says "Avaya IP Office R6.1 Manager"

So, which one is it? 6.1 or 8.1? Any help on this is greatly appreciated.

Confused about IP Office Version Information

The version of Manager is always 2 versions ahead of the version of the IP Office software. If your IP Office is running 6.1 the version of Manager that is required is 8.1. If your IP Office is running 8.1 (current release) than Manager needs to be running 10.1.
