I have two IP Office systems in separate campus buildings. The network is flat so I can't use the DHCP option tags to select the MCIPADD address. What I would like to do is put both IP Office MCIPADD addresses in the DHCP string and then let the 96xx phone figure out which one to use based upon extension. The benefit I get is that if the station's primary IP Offfice were to fail I could just temporarily administer the stations on the other IP Office. Does this work, or do I get into a DISCOVERING problem? Seems similar to what is done for using ACM backup of an IPO in the App Note "Configuring Avaya IP Telephones Using DHCP to Facilitate Failover Registration Between Avaya IP Office and Avaya Communications Manager"
