Hi,
I came across this requirement and I would like to know if possible.
In our office we have Avaya IP Office 500 V2 and Avaya 1608 phones.
Suppose we have 10 staffs, and someone called in to one of the extensions. The requirement is each staff must know via their phone display or any method (of course not by hearing which actual phone is ringing), the extension that the calling party is calling for or some alert that someone is calling in the office and not necessarily their direct number.
The reason why we have this requirement is because we have a "call pickup" in place wherein, each staff can hit that button to pickup a call to any extension. Of course the prerequisite is he/she must know which extension is ringing.
So far, looking to what Avaya IP office can do particularly on the button programming, I can see there is "Coverage Appearance" but so far testing it, I can only point to one extension only and not the entire office.
Anyone come across with this requirement before?
Thanks.
