How can I forward calls to another internal voicemail

Hello, I am using Avaya IP Office 8.0, I am trying to forward calls to another extension and I want the voicemail on the forwarded extension to answer the call. I can't seem to figure out a way to do this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The default with IP Office is to use the mailbox of the orignal call destination.

What you want can be done but depends on how permanent you want the arrangment to be. Why not just route the calls to that extension in the first place rather than forwarding them from one extension to another?

Is this voicemail pro? You can use start points to accomplish this.

If Embedded, I would create a short code to send calls directly to voicemail (#XXX|N|Voicemail Collect) Now when you dial #201, it will not ring the set, but send the call directly to voicemai9l.

Now go into manager and set up call forward on busy or call forward no answer to go to the short code of the proper mailbox (#201 would send calls to 201's mailbox)

I need to set this up for when employees go on maturnity leave, or they leave the company and calls need to be temporarily forwarded to someone else. The extesions are usually reassigned when the employee returns or someone takes their place.

Yes, this is voicemail pro. Thanks for the suggestion, but I need the phone to ring at the forwarded extension before it goes to voicemail.

Open your voicemail pro client, click on your IP office in the upper left hand pane to open up the tree.

            Click on Users

On the right hand pane, right click on the user, and Add Start Point, tick the box for Leave

Expand the tree on the left, under the user, click on Leave

In the right hand pane, click anywhere, then click on Actions, Mailbox Actions, Leave Mail, and then click anywhere in the white space of the right hand pane.

Double click on the Leave Mail box that just appeared, go to the specific tab, tick the button for Mailbox, type in the mailbox number where the voicemail will be left, and click on OK

Click on the icon for connecting items (an upwards diagonal line with a connector at each end), Click on Next in the Start Point box and drag the line to the Leave Mail header of the Leave Mail box.

Click on the icon for Save and Make Live, answer Yes, and you're done.

Forward the extension (or not), and when it covers to voicemail, the mailbox that you specified will answer instead. Don't forget to undo this when your employee returns to regular work.

Forward to other internal voicemail solution

It CAN be done through TUI even with Embedded. Thought I'd share how I solved here even though this is an old thread...
                Use:
                Follow Me To - <Ext.#>
                &
Forward No Answer - <#,Ext.#> (need to create custom System "Voicemail Collect" Short Code)
