    SIP Line between software versions IP Office

    Hi

    Can I build a SIP line between IP office versions and route incoming calls down the line?

    We have Version 5.0 on our main SCN systems, and the cannot be upgraded without upgrading hardware.

    Verizon says they need at least version 6.0.

    Can we install a 6.0 or above system to accept the SIP trunks and build incoming call routes to systems at our sites?

    What will not work?

    If you have done this before we may be interested on a contract for support etc.

    Hi Ashley,
    From what I understand this is the setup :-
    IPO1(5.0)----------SIP--->-----------IPO2(6.0 +)---ITSP--->---------------->VERIZON

    May I recommend posting this question on our Avaya Sales portal as they may be able to provide what interop testing has been done between 5.0 and 6.0 software release or provide another solution which might help.

          I would just do a straight (non SCN ) trunk between the systems... THen your SIP to the provider
