    short codes in voice message.

We have Avaya IP Office R8.1 Manager and VM Pro Client software 8.1.2004.0

I Have many questions but lets start slow.

When a person calls in it looks like the user person who answers is Reception.

If the receptionist does not get to the call I want the ability of people to press 1 to ring through to extension 111 and press 2 to ring through to extension 222 etc.

I have tried to set up short codes in both the users profile and the folder simply called
9x Short code but this does not seem to work.

How can I use codes to get to another extension.
    thanks.

There are several ways to do that. The simplest would be to look at the receptionit's DTMF breakout settings (User | Voicemail tab). Set option 1 to 111 and option 2 to 222. Then record the receptionists mailbox greeting to tell people that they can press 1 or 2 rather than leaving a message.

Otherwise, more advanced, build a custom call flow and direct your calls to it rather than the receptionist. First action in the call flow is an assisted transfer to the receptionist, set to redirect to a menu action for 1 and 2 if the call isn't answered by the receptionist.
