    Dedicating a trunk to an extension is a two way thing.

    1.) Incoming i.e. destination for the trunk is set as "ExtnABC". This can be done from the IP office configuraiton -> manager -> Inc call route -> Standard -> Line group ID. Here you have to define the trunk incoming line group id.

    2.) Outgoing i.e. an external call made from your extn ABC should go via the same trunk. The User short code has the highest priority. So go to manager Extn ABC -> USER configuration -> Short code. here define it as 9N N dial 10 where:

    9N is the trunk access code

    telephone number = N which means whatever you will dial after 9 will be sent outside the line.

    feature = dial

    Outgoing group id of your trunk = 10

      Just to add on this, you can't really assign a specific trunk to an extension - it is the trunk group ID only. For example, I don't think you would be able to assign line number 9 of your T1 circuit to a particular user?
